Recruitment strategy is arguably one of the key ingredients that lead to a business’s success, the ability to attract, and retain, high quality staff is paramount, however many companies take a seemingly adhoc approach either by advertising directly or by limiting themselves to dealing with one, or a small selection of recruitment agencies.

Since moving to Malta I have met a variety of interesting people with a broad range of exciting ideas. One such was this inspirational character who has an established operation and was desperately seeking inward investment for expansion into new markets. Working together I assisted creating an Investor Memorandum (IM) to aid the process of attracting this much desired external finance stream. The operation is currently in its expansion phase having moved from Malta to Florida, leaving the established business in Abu Dhabi. There are still investment opportunities for this client and I’d be happy to discuss with any potential investor the scheme, the returns and the business plan generally.

The new connections project provides an exclusive opportunity to visit a hand-picked venue ideally suited for a holiday or vacation, then using people skills from within the team invites paying guests to the venue to explore whatever the destination has to offer, in to company of like minded people. The service offered is neither a dating agency or a holiday package. The invitation to each event is based on a profile of the interested candidates willing to participate. Venues are hand picked by the team, as are the guests and a full yet relaxed schedule of events are provided for the duration.

As an established business, PCCOM Ltd, or more specifically company director Koorush Amel, pictured above, was looking to break into new markets.

Following an in depth consultation during which various I proposed new directions and strategies we discussed at length the options available and agreed that all could yield the desired new market opportunities and business direction.

The real work though started by focusing on one specific area initially. Following some weeks of ‘behind the scenes’ activity, registering on procurement portals, speaking with key decision makers, working up target audiences, a new strand for enquiries for the company services was established.

This project is ongoing and under continual review with the other suggested routes discussed in the first consultation in the pipeline for delivery.

Meeting the founder of this interesting concept online initially, we quickly struck up a rapport and I found myself volunteering my assistance towards this innovative project because of its simple yet powerful appeal. Essentially the outline of the website and business is simple in terms of being an exhaustive directory of gymnasiums, fitness centres, well-being practitioners and healthy eating outlets. Simple to use interface, with a vast range of tips for healthy eating and active lifestyles. I have a small but interesting continued role in this quite brilliant project.

Incorporated in 2021, Okto Capital Group is a newly formed corporate structure comprising two capital investment vehicles that focus on the Financial Services and FinTech sectors.

The group has ambitious plans to raise investment funds and to establish operations within the Financial Services sector, serving predominately the UK and European markets in its initial phases post incorporation.
